Who Needs Toroids Anyway?

We all need toroids. When this inner tube-shaped, ferrous iron object is wrapped with copper wire, toroids become inductors and transformers for the electrical and electronics industries. Toroids are essential to complete new circuitries for products from computers to telephone and IT systems to navigation and communication devices for the Space Shuttle to just about everything in between. When toroids are wrapped with copper wire, important things happen—innovative new circuitries are completed and new products are born. So who needs toroids? As it turns out, we all do.
